Hang 10: A Hidden Gem
Located between Wasena Park and Smith Park, just off the greenway, Hang 10 Hawaiian Ice & Cream is an unassuming Hawaiian Ice, soft-serve, and hot dog joint with a surf shop vibe. While it’s a simple menu and low-key atmosphere, the food is surprisingly fantastic.

The Build Your Own Dog with Pineapple Relish and a Little Fry from Hang 10.
During the Star City Wanderers most recent visit to Hang 10, we were able to sample several menu items, beginning with the Damn Yankee Hot Dog (all-beef dog with mustard and sauerkraut), a Build-Your-Own Hot Dog with Pineapple Relish, the hand-cut fries, and a cup of the classic twist (vanilla and pineapple) soft-serve with chocolate dip and toasted coconut. The all-beef hot dogs are perfectly cooked with just a touch of crisp on the outside and flavorful inside, without being too salty. The pineapple relish was an especially nice complement to the hot dog.

Additionally, we happened to visit during Hot Dog Happy Hour (3:00PM to 6:00PM every day), which includes a free little fry with every Hot Dog purchased. With already affordable prices, ranging from $2.50 to about $8.00, Hot Dog Happy Hour enabled two adults to have a hot dog and fries each, and split a dessert for about $20.00, including tax.
Overall, Hang 10 Hawaiian Ice and Cream is a hidden gem in the Star City, and a great place for a small meal, snack, or sweet treat.
