A Christmas Tradition: A Holiday Delight at the Historic Savannah Theatre

During the 2021 Holiday Season, the Star City Wanderers took a delightful Christmas week trip to Savannah, GA. As part of this trip we attended A Christmas Tradition at the Historic Savannah Theatre.

Entertaining the people of Savannah since 1818, the Historic Savannah Theatre is an easy walk from the river front, located at 222 Bull Street, facing Chippewa Square. This professional repertory theatre presents several shows throughout the year, including their yearly holiday show, A Christmas Tradition.

Almost more of a concert than a classic theatrical performance, A Christmas Tradition combines lovely musical performances of classic Christmas and Holiday tunes with charming and humorous holiday themed skits.

Musical performances included: Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Nuttin’ for Christmas, Twelve Days of Christmas, O Holy Night, and many more.

The show is a little bit of a mish-mash of vocal performances, instrumental performances, dances, and skits, but overall its a delightful show put on by a regional repertory theatre. It was lovely afternoon out, and a wonderful way to celebrate Christmas Eve.
