The Roanoker Restaurant

Currently, located just off of I-581 in Roanoke, VA, The Roanoker Restaurant was first established in 1941 as a small counter restaurant in downtown Roanoke on Jefferson Street. Over the years, the restaurant has moved locations numerous times as it has grown in popularity.

Most well known for its Famous Roanoker Biscuits, the local eatery serves classic country and American fare for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The vast menu offers something for everyone, and the atmosphere is warm and family oriented. While lunch and dinner are both good, breakfast is where the Roanoker shines.

The biscuits are light and fluffy, and if you ask they will be sure to bring them to you fresh from the oven. They make excellent chicken biscuits, and their waffles are also quite good. They have a menu item called the Stimulus Package which allows you to mix and match any four (4) items from a list of choices, and includes a beverage (coffee, hot tea, or a soft drink) for $9.49. This is an especially good option for picky eaters or anyone with food allergies or specific dietary restrictions.

Overall, the Roanoker Restaurant is a solid option for a local, family restaurant for anyone visiting the Roanoke Valley.
