A Review: The Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa
The Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa is a lovely resort property located just across the river from downtown Savannah, GA. This gives the property a peaceful location, but makes it easily accessible to downtown via the free ferry boat just steps away from the hotel.
This past December, during the 2021 Holiday Season, the Star City Wanderers had the opportunity to visit the beautiful city of Savannah, GA, and stay at the Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa for four (4) nights checking-in on December 21, 2021 and checking-out on December 26, 2021. The resort is located about 30 minutes from the Savannah Hilton Head Airport, and it was very easy to get a taxi at the airport. When first arriving, guests walk into the beautiful and spacious lobby which features a variety of comfortable seating to accommodate several people. You are then greeted by the very friendly, helpful, and competent staff at the front registration desk. We arrived very early in the day, far in advance of the afternoon check-in time, but the front-desk staff was able to accommodate our early arrival and check us in right away.
Once we entered our room, we found it to be clean, spacious, and very well appointed, and I’m fairly certain they upgraded us to a balcony room, even when the original reservation was for a standard king room. The room included a very comfortable king bed, a large bathroom with a tub and shower, an in-room refrigerator, and a very nice seating area.

During our stay, the Star City Wanderers especially enjoyed the absolutely beautiful and delightful heated outdoor swimming pool and hot tub. One afternoon, we had the entire pool and hot-tub area to ourselves, making for just the most enjoyable afternoon.
Additionally, the dining at the resort was very good. We started off each day with coffee from the in-house Starbucks, and had a lovely Holiday Brunch at the Aquastar Restaurant. This Holiday Brunch buffet included scrumptious dishes, including: assorted charcuterie board items such as cheese, cured meats, smoked fish, crackers, and more; omelet station, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, ham with pineapple (which was my personal favorite dish, vegetables, a wide assortment of desserts, etc.
Overall, the Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa offered a relaxing and comfortable stay in a peaceful environment, while being easily accessible to downtown Savannah, GA. This hotel resort was Mr. Dustin’s favorite hotel that we have stayed in yet!
