A Romantic Stay at the RiverStone Resort and Spa in Pigeon Forge, TN

The RiverStone Resort & Spa is a Vacation Rental property located in Pigeon Forge, TN just minutes away from Dollywood Theme Park. The Resort offers One (1), Two (2), and Three (3) Bedroom Vacation Condos, all of which include a full kitchen with full-sized refrigerator and cooking implements, allowing you to cook your own meals. The Resort also offers some great on-property amenities, including: a full-service Spa, heated indoor pool, indoor hot tub, outdoor lazy river, small outdoor Playground, and the Little Pigeon River Nature Trail.

During our recent Road Trip to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, TN, the Star City Wanderers stayed in a One (1) Bedroom Condo at the RiverStone Resort and Spa. The bedroom featured a very comfortable King-size bed (perfect for a Romantic Getaway), and the bathroom featured a very large shower with two showerheads. In addition to the full-size kitchen, the One (1) Bedroom Condo also featured a Washer and Dryer in the bathroom. This especially came in handy, as it was much warmer in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge then we expected and we seat a lot, so we were able to do a load of laundry while we were there. This also meant that we could pack less, leaving more room in our luggage for souvenirs, if you so desire.

The pool area is very nice with a high ceiling and floor to ceiling glass windows. It also includes an outdoor veranda area with loungers adjacent to the indoor pool. It can get a bit loud in the pool area, however, due to the lack of dampening surfaces (as is common in most indoor poll set-ups). An added benefit, however, the indoor pool and hot tub at RiverStone Resort and Spa is that it is open 24-Hours a day, and therefore, if you go early in the morning or later in the evening (after 10:30PM) it is more likely that the pool will be empty. We were even able to get about 30 minutes of pool and hot-tub time to ourselves one day mid-afternoon.

The Spa at the RiverStone Resort is peaceful and serene, as any spa should be. It’s located in the main building across from Registration and when they take you into the first relaxation room you can enjoy your choice of hot teas, cocoa, and cider (however the cocoa and cider is from a mix). Both the message and facial treatments were very well executed and relaxing. The hot-towel neck wrap is especially relaxing and enjoyable.

Overall, the RiverStone Resort & Spa offered a comfortable stay in a location very convenient to some key attractions in Pigeon Forge, TN including Dollywood and the Island. My only critique of the Resort is that there is no restaurant or eatery on the property.
